In my understanding precision can be described as the quality and the degree of accuracy and exactness presented by text or article or even by something. On the other maintained clarity. Sometimes, when students think of scholarly writing, they think of lengthy sentences full of painfully obscure meanings, which translates into difficult reading. This does not have to be the case. In fact, scholarly writing should be clear, concise, and precise.
